Your retro game collection, in the browser and hosted in France
RetroAssembly transforms your ROM collection into a playable game library accessible from any browser, with synchronized saves. DINAO hosts it in France : your private library remains 100 % under your control.
What is RetroAssembly?
RetroAssembly is an open-source emulation platform that transforms your ROM collection into a true playable game library accessible from any browser — described by its creator as « your personal retro game cabinet in the browser ». It's the equivalent of a Plex server, but dedicated to your classic video games.
It supports over 24 systems — NES, SNES, Genesis/Megadrive, Game Boy / Color / Advance, Atari 2600/5200/7800, Arcade, Neo Geo Pocket, Virtual Boy, WonderSwan, and many more — thanks to the Nostalgist.js emulation engine. The interface offers spatial navigation via keyboard or controller, auto-detected box art, retro shaders, and a virtual touch controller for mobile.
Regarding saves, RetroAssembly allows you to save and synchronize your game states (save states) at any time to resume from another device. Built in TypeScript (Vite, React Router, Drizzle ORM), it is fully self-hostable via Docker, giving you total control over your private library.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Does my game library remain private?

Where is my collection hosted?
Exclusively in France, in our Marseille datacenter. No data leaves the European Union, ensuring your GDPR compliance.
Do I need technical skills?
No. DINAO deploys, updates, and monitors your Docker instance. You just need to log in via your browser, import your ROMs, and play.
Can I change plans or retrieve my data?
Yes, at any time. Your ROMs and saves belong to you and remain exportable. Upgrading to a higher plan is done without losing your collection or ongoing games.
