Overview

What is PinePods?

PinePods is a comprehensive self-hosted podcast management system. It allows you to listen to, download, and track your podcasts from your own server, via browser or dedicated apps (web, desktop, iOS), with multi-user management.

It includes its own GPodder sync server, enabling synchronization of your progress with AntennaPod and other clients, and supports OPML import/export. Search and subscription are handled via The Podcast Index or iTunes, with listening history, statistics, and Podcast 2.0 features (chapters, etc.).

On the security side, PinePods offers MFA, OpenID Connect, and self-service password reset, as well as new episode notifications via ntfy or gotify. Written in Rust (with a WebAssembly frontend) and fully dockerized, it runs on PostgreSQL or MySQL/MariaDB.

Can I sync with my mobile app?

Yes. PinePods includes a GPodder server that syncs your progress and subscriptions with AntennaPod and other compatible clients. There are also web, desktop, and iOS apps.

Can I import my current subscriptions?

Yes. PinePods supports OPML import and export, the standard format for podcast subscriptions. You can recover your existing library in just a few clicks.

Where is my listening data stored?
