What is Photoview?
Photoview is a self-hosted photo gallery, simple and user-friendly, designed for photographers. It provides a fast and enjoyable way to browse directories containing thousands of high-resolution photos.
Designed for professionals, Photoview supports RAW formats and EXIF metadata analysis, as well as many video formats automatically optimized for the web. A face recognition feature automatically detects people and groups their photos.
Regarding performance, thumbnails are generated automatically and photos are loaded on the fly as they become visible, ensuring smooth navigation even with very large photo libraries. Actively maintained and easy to deploy via Docker, Photoview is the sovereign alternative to mainstream photo clouds.

Yes. Photoview is designed for photographers: it supports RAW formats and reads EXIF data (lens, aperture, ISO, etc.).
Does face recognition use an external service?
No. Face detection is performed locally on your instance hosted in France; no photos are sent to a third party for analysis.
Is it smooth with many photos?
Yes. Thumbnails are generated automatically and images are loaded on the fly, keeping navigation smooth even with thousands of shots.
Where are my photos hosted?
On your DINAO instance in France, in one of the available data centers. Your photos never leave the territory.
Can I export my photos?
Yes. Your files remain yours and are exportable, without proprietary lock-in, and you can change plans at any time.
