What is OrangeHRM?
OrangeHRM is a complete open-source human resources management system (HRIS / HRMS) that covers the essential features expected by any organization. Distributed under the GNU GPL license, it is particularly suited for small and medium-sized structures thanks to zero licensing costs for its core functions.
The open-source version includes employee management, HR administration, leave and absence management, time and attendance tracking, recruitment (ATS, from job posting to offer acceptance), performance management and reporting, as well as a mobile app.
OrangeHRM allows you to manage the entire employee lifecycle — from hiring to career tracking — within a single web interface, featuring employee self-service and manager approval workflows.

Which HR modules are included?
The open-source version covers employee management, HR administration, leave/absences, time and attendance, recruitment (ATS), performance management, and reporting, along with a mobile app.
Are my employee data protected?
Yes. Your instance is isolated in a dedicated container, hosted in France, with a private encrypted MySQL database. HR personal data is neither shared nor transmitted to third parties.
Is there a cost per employee?
No. You pay a fixed DINAO hosting fee based on instance size; there is no per-employee subscription like with proprietary HR SaaS.
Can employees make their own requests?
Yes. OrangeHRM offers employee self-service (leave requests, viewing personal info, etc.), with manager approval workflows.
Can I change plans or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your HR data (database, exports) remains yours — no vendor lock-in.
