What is Misskey?
Misskey is an open-source decentralized social network platform built on the ActivityPub protocol. Your instance can thus communicate with the entire fediverse — with Mastodon at the forefront — while remaining entirely under your control. The feed remains chronological, without advertising algorithms or attention capture.
Misskey stands out for its rich functionality and customization: custom emoji reactions, MFM (advanced note formatting), integrated file Drive, filtered timelines (antennas), pages, widgets, themes, and brand colors. It is one of the most expressive and configurable fediverse software solutions.
Technically, Misskey relies on Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Redis, with a queue for federation. DINAO handles the installation, supervision of these components, and updates, so you can focus on your community.
