Miniflux is a minimalist and focused RSS feed reader, centered on simplicity and readability according to the « Less is more » philosophy. It supports Atom, RSS 1.0/2.0 and JSON Feed, with OPML import/export. Articles are organized by categories and bookmarks, and a reading mode automatically fetches the full article from feeds that only provide a summary.

Its strength is a committed privacy orientation: removal of tracking pixels, cleaning of tracking parameters in URLs, media proxy, no referrer sent, and above all no telemetry or advertising. The interface is lightweight, responsive, fully keyboard-controllable, with full-text search.

Miniflux offers a system of customizable rules (scraping via CSS selectors, content rewriting, regex filters), an REST API with official Go and Python clients, and Fever and Google Reader compatibility to reuse existing mobile RSS apps. More than 25 third-party integrations are available (Wallabag, Instapaper, Notion, Discord, Slack, Telegram…).

Technically, Miniflux is written in Go and compiled into a static binary with no external dependencies: the only required component is a PostgreSQL database. Result: a memory footprint of a few MB and negligible CPU load, even with several hundred feeds.
