Overview

What is LibreBooking?

LibreBooking is an open-source platform for booking shared resources: meeting rooms, equipment, hardware, workstations, etc. It offers a responsive web interface, mobile-friendly, allowing organizations to manage bookings via a calendar, with waitlists, quotas, and a credit system.

It is a fork of Booked Scheduler (itself derived from phpScheduleIt), actively maintained since 2020 and significantly modernized under Bootstrap 5. Role-based access control (RBAC), usage reports, and a plugin-based architecture make it a flexible and comprehensive tool.

Written in PHP with a MySQL/MariaDB database and published under the GPL-3.0 license, LibreBooking offers calendar integration (Outlook / Thunderbird via ICS), customizable themes, and simple deployment via Docker.
