What is Horilla?
Horilla is an open-source Human Resources Information System (HRIS), designed to cover the entire employee lifecycle within a single platform. Built on the Django framework, it caters to both small organizations and growing companies looking to professionalize their HR management without per-user fees.
It groups numerous modules : recruitment and candidate tracking, onboarding of new hires, employee and organizational chart management, leave and absences, attendance tracking (time clock), expense reports, evaluations and objectives. A self-service portal allows each employee to manage their requests and view their information.
Fully self-hostable, Horilla is particularly suited for a sovereignty approach : since HR data is among the most sensitive in an organization, keeping it in France and under your control is a major asset for GDPR compliance. The platform offers SSO/OIDC, fine-grained role management, and APIs to integrate with payroll or ERP systems.
