Flarum is a next-generation open-source forum software, designed to be fast, simple, and elegant. Built with PHP and Laravel on the server side and a fluid JavaScript interface on the client side, it offers a modern discussion experience, akin to a social network, without page reloads.
Mobile-first from the ground up, Flarum is fully responsive and lightweight. It features real-time discussion threads, mentions, reactions, notifications, a Markdown editor, and built-in search. Its modular architecture relies on a rich ecosystem of extensions that allow you to add tags, badges, single sign-on (SSO), anti-spam, and many other features.
On the administration side, Flarum emphasizes moderation and fine-grained permission management by user groups. Can I add extensions?
Yes. Flarum has a rich ecosystem of extensions (SSO, badges, tags, anti-spam, etc.). DINAO installs and maintains them for you according to your needs.
Where are my members' data hosted?
On the DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Data does not leave the territory, in compliance with GDPR.
Can I migrate an existing forum to Flarum?
Depending on the original platform (phpBB, Discourse, etc.), content migration is possible. Contact DINAO to assess the feasibility of your import.
Can I change my plan or export my data?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your data (database and files) remains exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
