Share your videos via unique links
Fireshare is your private alternative to Streamable : upload your videos and share them via unique links, public or private, with password protection and rich previews. Installed and supervised by DINAO, hosted in France.
What is Fireshare?
Fireshare is a self-hosted application for sharing your own videos — game clips, personal videos, or other media — via unique links. It's a private, personal alternative to services like Streamable : you upload your videos, Fireshare indexes them and generates shareable links, either public or accessible only via the link.
Features include public/private feeds, videos protected by password, organization by category with tags and view counts, and Open Graph metadata for rich previews when sharing. Additional features include notifications (Discord), an RSS feed for public videos, optional user uploads, LDAP authentication, and mobile-friendly playback.
Technically, Fireshare combines a Python backend and a JavaScript frontend, with an internal database and videos stored in the /data volume. Transcoding is optional, via FFmpeg on CPU or NVIDIA NVENC GPU. DINAO deploys the entire setup in a dedicated container in France, sizes the storage, and ensures HTTPS, backups, and monitoring.

Technical details
You might be wondering…
Are my videos publicly visible?
Not necessarily. You choose between public or private feed : private videos are only accessible via their unique link and can additionally be password-protected.
Where are the videos stored?
On your dedicated instance in France, in the /data volume (videos + index). Your media does not go to YouTube or any public cloud.
Do I need a GPU for transcoding?
No, transcoding works on CPU. For large volumes, GPU NVENC transcoding is available as an option, on a host equipped with NVIDIA hardware.
What needs to be backed up?
Everything resides in the /data volume (videos and internal database). This is the main backup point — and the largest one ; DINAO manages it for you.
Who is Fireshare for?
Creators, gamers, and teams who want to host and share their own clips privately and in a controlled manner, without relying on a public service.
