Overview

What is Fider?

Fider is an open-source platform for collecting and prioritizing product feedback. Your users submit ideas and feature requests, vote for the ones they care about, and comment on them — allowing you to build your roadmap on real signals rather than intuition.

On the admin side, you organize posts with tags, custom statuses, and filters, and communicate progress (planned, in progress, delivered) with full transparency. Fider handles OAuth2 authentication (Google, Facebook, GitHub, or any custom provider), magic link login, multilingual support, and email notifications.

Lightweight and performant, its backend is written in Go, its frontend in React / TypeScript, with a PostgreSQL database and a multi-tenant architecture. A few hundred megabytes of RAM are sufficient, and Docker deployment is immediate. A REST API enables third-party integrations.

What is Fider used for?

Fider is a portal where your users propose improvement ideas, vote for their favorites, and comment on them. You thus prioritize your roadmap based on real data, with full transparency — an open-source alternative to Canny or Featurebase.

Can the portal be private?

Yes. Fider can be public (open to everyone) or private (restricted to logged-in users). Login is via email (magic link) or OAuth2 SSO.

Where are my users' data hosted?

On DINAO infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your customers' feedback and data never leave the territory.

Can I connect my own authentication provider?

Yes. In addition to Google, Facebook, and GitHub, Fider connects to any custom OAuth2 provider, configurable in the settings.

Can I change plans or export my data?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time, and your data remains exportable — no proprietary lock-in.
