The electronic laboratory notebook for your research teams
Track your experiments and manage your sample database with eLabFTW, installed and maintained by DINAO. Your protocols, results, and data stay on our French servers — never in a foreign cloud.
What is eLabFTW?
eLabFTW is the most widely used open-source electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) by research teams. Accessible from any browser, it allows you to record experiments, attach files, images, and links, and structure your protocols using reusable templates and a rich editor.
Beyond the notebook, eLabFTW integrates a true database where you can store any type of laboratory object — antibodies, plasmids, cell lines, boxes, reagents, equipment — along with their metadata, and link each object to corresponding experiments. Timestamping and electronic signatures ensure traceability of your work.
Designed for institutional scale, eLabFTW can host multiple teams on a single installation, manages LDAP / SSO / SAML authentication, exposes a REST API, and offers standard exports (PDF, ZIP, ELN format). Translated into many languages and published under the AGPLv3 license, it has become a cornerstone of the ELN landscape.
