Overview

What is Coolify?

Coolify is defined as "self-hosting with superpowers": an open-source and self-hostable alternative to Vercel, Heroku, Netlify, and Railway for easily deploying websites, databases, applications, and over 280 services with one click. The goal is to offer the convenience of a PaaS platform while retaining full control over your infrastructure.

Coolify runs on any server (VPS, personal machine, Raspberry Pi, cloud providers) and automatically manages SSL certificates via Let's Encrypt. It integrates with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Gitea, automates deployments on pull request, backs up databases to S3-compatible storage, and offers a browser-accessible terminal, server monitoring, and multi-channel notifications.

The platform emphasizes no vendor lock-in: data remains on servers controlled by the user. With role-based team collaboration and an integration API, Coolify targets developers and organizations looking to simplify their deployments while maintaining technical sovereignty. The project is free and open source.

Yes. Coolify offers the same convenience — Git deployment, automatic HTTPS, managed databases, rollback — but on your own infrastructure in France, with no usage-based billing or dependency on an American platform.

What types of applications can I deploy?

Anything that fits in a container: Node, PHP, Python, Go, Ruby, Java, static applications, as well as databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB…). Buildpacks, Dockerfile, or Compose are available.

Where is the data hosted?

On DINAO's infrastructure in France, in one of the available data centers. Your apps and databases never leave the country.

Do I need technical skills?

Web development knowledge helps, but Coolify greatly simplifies deployment (a single push is enough). DINAO manages installation, security, and platform updates.

Can I host multiple applications on one instance?

Yes. A Coolify instance hosts multiple applications and databases, each isolated. You scale up as your resource needs grow.
